This powerful writing competition asked students to reflect on youth violence—its causes, its impact, and how we can make a difference. Hundreds of students across the state participated, and our Razorbacks rose to the top! 🔥
👏 Shoutout to Andre from Mrs. Georgiou’s class and Adele, Harper and Malachi from Mr. Flores' class, who earned spots in the Top 20!
📅 Finalists will attend a special luncheon on May 1st, where one student will be selected as Utah’s Ambassador for Peace and travel to Washington, D.C. this July!

🐗 Razorback Pride on Ice… in the Gym! 🐗🏒
We had an awesome turnout today at Roy Jr. High as the Mammoth Hockey Club brought the energy to our gymnasium! 💥
Youth from all across our community showed up to learn the game, build skills, and experience the excitement of hockey right here at RJH. From first-timers to future stars, it was incredible to see so many kids giving it a shot and having a blast!
This is what it’s all about—creating opportunities, building connections, and bringing our community together through positive experiences.

Earlier this month, our incredible Roy Jr. High Latinos in Action (LIA) students had the opportunity to attend the annual LIA Leadership Conference at Weber State University—and what an experience it was! 🙌
Our students connected with LIA peers from across Utah and the Mountain West, building friendships and strengthening their leadership skills. 💬🌎
🎓 They participated in inspiring workshops focused on preparing for college and future success
🎤 Heard from keynote speaker Eduardo Chavez
🎭 And even took the stage to perform for conference attendees at the Browning Center!
