Community Council Meeting

Welcome Rob Lake

Attendees- Chris Archueta, Kim Crump, Carolyn DeHoff, Amy Hall, Anndee Hoskins, Jennifer Hyde, Rob Lake, DiAne Morin, Annalynne Yamashita

Celebration- previous 3 years graph- moving in the right direction,

Co- taught Classes- 2024-25 2 SPED teachers co teaching with 2 regular ed teachers.

This has been a very positive experience for both the students and the teachers across the board. Socially, Peer to Peer participation, less restrictive environment, gives students a middle ground, a great way to integrate technology, contributes to the District SPED plan also helps lower numbers in the Gen Ed classes. Students are finding confidence and success and excited about reading!

Math and English classes for all grades.

DeHoff- PBIS- Positive Behavior Intervention- Program to recognize and celebrate students.  Kelli Figgins is the school PBIS Coordinator. Razorback Store with Razorbucks and Teacher Incentives.

Divine Wellness- Program to supporting and recognizing staff.

The Wellness Team is: Fulmer, George, Morin, Garcia, Sorenson, Boden, Pewtress, P. Wardleigh, Hoskins, DeHoff.

Amy Hall- Roy Junior High Library- The average books checked out so far this is year is 2 books per students. District wide Roy Jr has dominated the other schools in this area.

We had about 200 students visit the J Scott Savage author event that Roy Jr hosted.

2024-25 Library Goals are:

Visit PLC meetings to find resource matches

Work with the Math Dept to integrate Scope Math magazine

Digital citizenship initiative

Monthly library challenges in Canvas

Integrating Scrible in each English class

Working with teachers to use SchoolAI

Embedding Lightbox and SORA into class curriculum

Send students to the StoryCon Literacy Conference in February

Anndee Hoskins- HOPE Fair during Parent Teacher Conferences- Great support from the community!

Rob Lake- Roy Junior High Mission and Commitments

School SMART Goal

By the end of the 2024-25 school year, we aim to ensure that 80% of our students will demonstrate proficiency on 80%of the priority standards.

Teacher Tech- Dallen Rhyasen

Solution Tree- 2 groups of teachers have gone to conferences so far.  100% worth the $!

Student Advocate- Devire Hayes will be helping in the Math Dept.
