Hello Razorbacks! Welcome back! We are excited to begin another year of fabulous learning. Along with all of the other great things you will learn this year ,our PEAK classes will have one day a week dedicated to Character Education.

We will focus on the six pillars of character adopted from Charactercounts.

They are:

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."
-Martin Luther King, Jr.

In the 2011 session, the Legislature adopted a new bill--H.B. 204.  The bill is called "Protection of Athletes with Head Injuries."  The Bill's highlited provisions are as follows:  It "requires an amateur sports organization to both adopt and enforce a concussion and head injury policy, and inform parents of the policy and get their permission for a child to participate in a sporting event."

Please look at the information provided by USOE and feel free to read Weber School District's policy.
